A record number of children from our school took part in this year's school Cross Country in Belvedere on 23/9/26.
68 students in total ranging from 1st to 6th Class took to the course in Belvedere on a beautiful sunny day. We were laden down with silverware on the way back on the bus as a whopping 23 students won medals for placing in the Top 20!!
A special mention to Cara (4th Class girls) and Mel (6th Class boys) who came an amazing 1st place in their races.
We have a feeling that we might be in with a very good chance of winning team medals this year as so many students placed very high up. Every sticker counts towards a team score. We will hear about this in due course once Harriers have done their calculations!!
Massive well done to all the children who participated, to their teachers for their support and to the parents who allowed them to take part.

Past Pupils and Intercounty Senior footballers Shane Ormsby and Dillon Matthews visited our school with the Leinster trophy on Friday last. We also had our own Ms. Coyle who brought in the ladies intermediate Leinster trophy. All the children were thrilled to get a chance to be so close to these coveted cups and enjoyed doing a Q&A with the players.
Thank you all so much for your time and dedication.
We as a school community are so proud of your achievements.
Farewell, Ms. Brady
We are very sad to say goodbye to our wonderful principal, Ms. Brady. Your hard work, dedication, care and leadership since you started to work in St. Colmcille's in 2002 have made our school a happy, colourful and fun place to work and learn.
On behalf of all of us - staff, pupils, parents and the wider community - thank you. Thank you for your leadership, your support, your humour and your kindness.
We will miss you. We all wish you well in your retirement.
This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to help provide our school with digital equipment such as tablets and chrome books which has further enabled us to provide our students with digital knowledge and skills and opportunities to become involved in projects promoting digital literacy and coding skills.
